Picture post

Just had to put up a few recent pics...my heart overflows with joy when I make Molly Kate smile, coo, etc...I think she has the sweetest smile I've ever seen (besides Caleb's of course!) and I could just sit and talk baby talk to her all day to get those smiles out of her. :) I also LOVE how she LOVES Caleb. She will watch him from the minute he enters a room, and he can be doing nothing special and she just smiles and coos at him like he hung the moon. I can't wait to see how their relationship grows as they get older. I'm so happy to know that they will always have each other, no matter what. My blessings.

Love this boy.

Love this girl.

Love the sideways glance MK is giving Caleb here. She thinks he hung the moon. He thinks she'll never notice that the stuffed cat HE made her has become HIS. She says, "Bide your time, brother...I'm comin' for that cat..."

Happy smiling girl on her playmat from Great Aunt Sherry and Great Uncle David. It is so soft!

YAWN!

Valentine's Day

We all had a very nice, simple Valentine's Day this year! Caleb took his Valentines to school on Tuesday for their party and he had a great time (from what I could get out of him, anyway!). I really wasn't feeling like going out and fighting the crowds and paying lots of $$$ for dinner, so we went the simple route this year and ordered a heart shaped pizza from Papa John's (also came with a Cinapie), ate chocolate covered strawberries, drank sparkling grape juice, and FINALLY watched the last Harry Potter. Caleb and Bryan brought me some very nice pink roses, and Caleb picked out some things for me from the Dollar store...SO sweet...a pair of star shaped sunglasses, a stuffed pink monkey, some candy, a little snow globe, a glittery baton, a party hat, and a very sweet card. I got a very sweet card from Bryan as well. We got Caleb a stuffed bear with a heart (which he thinks looks like a jellybean, so that's what he's named the bear), the book If You Give a Dog a Donut, a Smurfs DVD (he's obsessed thanks to the iPad game "Smurf Village"), and some candy coins. We got Molly Kate some plastic bibs for when she starts eating table food and some cute socks. Bryan and I are hoping to do a fancy date here soon, when his schedule allows for it...I've been wanting to eat at Portofino's and see The Vow. :) I love my little family so much!!!

Happy 3 months!

Molly Kate turned 3 months old today! I have recently officially had to put away all of her newborn sleepers...so sad. :( But I am so happy that she is growing so well, smiling and cooing like crazy, and generally putting a smile on everyone's face she comes in contact with. Here are some pics from her monthly session. Couldn't you just eat her up??

Pinterest Project!

I love, love, love Pinterest! So many great ideas on there, and I have made MANY of the recipes that I've pinned. I have done a few of the other projects as well, but was especially proud of what will be Caleb's school Valentines! Thanks, Pinterest for the idea and Bryan for the Photoshopped background! :)

2 Month Visit

Molly Kate had her 2 month check-up today!! She is closer to 3 months, but that's when they could get me in, so it is what it is. :) I was so excited to hear that she was 11 lbs 10 oz., and 24 inches. She went up BIG time in percentiles, too. Her head went from 45th -95th (the nurse had to double check it!), length from 75th-95th, and weight from 45th-75th. I am SO SO SO happy nursing has worked out this time!! Dr. W just went on and on about how proud he was of me...and I am, too! We had SUCH a rough start, sooo many obstacles, but I kept at it and she's growing like a weed! She is sleeping for a bit longer stretches at night but definitely not all night yet. She is smiling, cooing, half-laughing and following you with her eyes. Her smile and coos MELT my heart. Her neck muscles are getting stronger, too! She still likes to be held A LOT, but if she's in a good mood, loves her swing and will swing for some time in it. She also likes her playmat and bouncy seat. I've just pulled out the 0-3 month clothes for her, although NB stuff still fits on top, but the pants are too short. She is generally happy as long as she's not hungry. Big Brother loves her to pieces and I can just tell that they are going to have such a sweet relationship. I love my little family!

For fun, just a cute picture of our little angel.

Tummy time

So, I know I'm supposed to be doing "tummy time" with Molly Kate, but we don't do it as often as we probably should...girl likes to be held. But the other day we actually did some and I took some pictures. She got grumpy though, so I turned her over and she was obviously much happier. Love love love those eyes!!!

They love each other. :)

Caleb truly loves Molly Kate so very much. He hates to hear her cry, is a HUGE help to me, and is always wanting to kiss and hug on her. I took a couple pics of them together after church today. :)

Some recent pics of 2 of the cutest kids I know :)

Fun with Curious George

On Tuesday of this week, Caleb got to bring his class mascot, Curious George, home from school! They had many adventures together that I got to write about in a little notebook. Here are some pics of their fun!
Getting ready for lunch-Georget had to wear a monkey bib :)

Getting ready for nap time--Caleb wanted to read him some Curious George stories first.

Watching Curious George on the TV with George and Doggie!

                                                           Fun at the park!

Whee!! Yes, Daddy and Caleb and George got to go to the park, without coats, on the first day of February! We've had such a STRANGE winter!
