2 months old!
How cute is she?!?!? Yesterday was Molly Kate's 2 month birthday. Poor thing is sick with a cold, although you couldn't tell from these pictures! She is really alert these days, really studying faces, smiling, cooing, etc. Haven't gotten a big laugh out of her yet, but I bet it will be soon. :) She will sometimes do a six hour stretch of sleep at night, but it may be from 8-2 (not great) or 12-6 (one time, and awesome!). She is still sleeping in her Rock and Play sleeper, which is fine with me...I just hope she'll eventually sleep in her crib. :) Nursing is still going great, but we will sometimes give her a 2 oz bottle of formula if she seems especially hungry even after nursing, but it is rare. She is still wearing NB diapers and some NB clothes, although both are getting a bit snug and short, haha. I think we'll officially transition to 0-3 month this weekend or next week. I am really trying to love this baby stage and remembering that the lack of sleep is just for a season. Caleb is still being an awesome big brother. He hates hates hates to see her cry, and will try to fix it if I am occupied. He loves her to pieces. :)

Happy New Year!
Happy New Year 2012!
We went to a friend's "Noon Year's Eve" party that was a lot of fun for Caleb, but MK slept through the whole thing. :) Bryan and I went on a date to our new favorite restaurant (Chuy's Mexican) and to Target, but I didn't stay up til midnight! I've learned to sleep when MK sleeps and she was asleep! Ha! 2011 was a very good year for us, and I'm excited for 2012. I hope to become an aunt a couple times before the year is out. These kids need some cousins close in age to play with at holiday functions!! I already can't imagine how different Molly Kate will be this time next year-she may even be walking! I'm trying to enjoy the baby stage while I can, despite the lack of sleep and other frustrations of the newborn stage...I know I'll be sad thinking how quickly it passed when I look back. I've been thinking of some new year's resolutions for this year, and figured I should write them out, to remind myself, and here is as good a place as any!
1. Lose weight/add muscle. Gotta get back on the 30 Day Shred. Bluh. I've lost the baby weight, but am most definitely NOT happy with the number on the scale or the flabbiness going on.
2. Read more books and spend less time on the computer. Bryan got me a Kindle for Christmas, and I'm already loving it!
3. Make time for quality quiet time alone with God. I like the structure that my BSF study provides, but I need to not just count it as my quiet time.
4. Keep a gratitude journal. I've been so inspired by Ann Voskamp's blog-aholyexperience.com and her book, "One Thousand Gifts" to create an attitude of gratitude in my own life. Looking forward to what God will teach me with that.
5. Figure out how on earth to keep my home clean and organized with 2 kids. Lord help me, please!
6. Play more with Caleb, at least 10-15 min a day of just he and I, without a TV or computer or iPad involved.
7. Write to our Compassion child more often.
8. Stay on top of photo books, printing photos, etc. during the year.
9. Do a good job of staying within our budget...aka not wasting money on stupid things. :) Also need to look into setting up college funds for the kiddos, and refinancing our mortgage.
10. Be more patient, bite my tongue more, pray when I want to scream, put others first, be a great wife and mom...
I'm a little overwhelmed just making this list. And I need prayer and a lot of strength from God for each one of these goals.
Happy 2012!!!!
