Speaking of the heat, we went down to the courthouse this morning with my friend Kristy and her kiddos to let the kids play in the fountains there in their swimsuits. The fountains shoot up from the ground at various intervals and various heights. I wasn't sure if Caleb would like it or not, but he LOVED it!! I should have been taking him to do this all summer long! Plus, it was free (except for parking!), which is always a plus. My camera is being replaced or repaired right now, so I only took one pic with my phone that I'll post if I can figure out how. :-) I also took a little video of them splashing around. We went to Woodland Park afterwards, and then through the drive-thru at Chick-fil-a for lunch, and then he CRASHED...literally, for almost 4 hours. Like I said, I should have been doing this all summer!!
I am so proud of Bryan. He was interviewed today for an article St.Joe is going to put out (in their "faith" magazine) about his trip to Haiti. He hasn't had the time he'd like to have to finish up his blog about the trip, but it is on his to-do list! He can't wait to go back and help some more, possibly in the spring. I am also so proud of him, because he starts his program to get his BSN this month at UK. He already has an RN, so he's officially a nurse, but a Bachelor's will be the stepping stone he needs to move on to his Master's and Doctorate work. It should be about a year long. He works SO very hard for our family, and I am so, so grateful that he works so I can stay home with Caleb. School started this week for our public schools, and I couldn't help but think, WOW...in just 3 short years Caleb will be in Kindergarten...and I'm sure time will just fly by. We're looking forward to the Toddler-Parent Class we're taking at a local private school here in September. It sounds like a lot of fun...kinda like a pre-preschool thing...and I get to stay. :-) I really think Caleb is so smart (of course, I'm biased!!) and can't wait for him to really start learning things in a classroom environment. This is just once a week for a couple of hours, but they will be doing learning centers, storytime, crafts, etc. Can't wait!!
Well, that's it for now!
