Wow, we've had a lot going on since my last post, but I wanted to do a special post for her 7 month update before I do separate posts for our vacation, etc.
Molly Kate has 2 teeth!! Yep, her two bottom ones pretty much came in at the exact same time. G-r-o-u-c-h-y! I was hoping maybe she'd be one of those "silent teethers" but apparently that is not to be. They are so cute. I think she's working on another one up top, now.
She is eating 3 meals of baby food a day, as well as still nursing. She loves EVERYTHING we've given her, although I believe one mix of pumpkin and banana didn't sit well with her-thinking it's the pumpkin since banana hasn't seemed to bother her before. She loves peas and brown rice! I've been lazy lately and have been buying more of her baby food than I should--I need to get back on track with making it. I think it's because I love the combos that are out there, that I would probably never make on my own--like spinach, peas, and pears (another fav). I LOVE that she is loving green veggies, because Caleb NEVER did. We'll see how long it lasts...
She is babbling more and more, and making new sounds. I can't wait for her first words!!
She is still rolling all over when we put her down, but no crawling yet. She'll TRY but just can't seem to do it...which I am perfectly okay with. :) She has got some CHUNKY legs, I tell you! It's so funny, because Caleb was never "chunky"...he was BIG at first, but once he slimmed down he was just long, not big. She is little but those legs are NOT little. It's adorable. She is much more efficient with nursing these days, which is great.
She is still up at night, sigh...although I'm determined to do a little "baby boot camp" with her because I know she doesn't NEED to be up and eating every 2/3 hours anymore, now that she's eating solids 3X/day on top of nursing. I've just got to start getting some sleep. One really great thing is she puts herself to sleep when I lay her down for naps..that has been super nice, and something we never experienced with Caleb (our own fault).
We took her on her first vacation, to Gatlinburg, this past week. She was a great traveler for the most part and did great with me carrying her around everywhere we went in the Bjorn. She got a TON of attention everywhere we went, too! I was telling Bryan, if I had a dollar for every time someone commented on her cuteness, wanted to (or DID) touch her feet, hands, etc.. it would have paid for the trip...I think I should have started charging. ;-) More on that trip later.
Here are some recent pics!
Her monthly pics. She wanted to eat the sticker this time around. ;)
At my stepsister Kelsey's baby shower. She is soooo cute pregnant. She's having a boy named Easton in August--yay for cousins!!
At the park before a local fair. First time in a swing...she obviously LOVED it!!
The bib says it all. :)
My blessings.
Before church the other week.
Looking patriotic on Memorial Day weekend.
Going swimming for the first time in our backyard! Love this suit!!
