Caleb has some news...

Yep, it's true!!! After 15 very long, emotionally draining months of Clomid to the highest degree and then 3 rounds of IUI with injectibles (Follistim), God has finally blessed us with Baby Boling #2. I am 9 weeks and 2 days today. I had an ultrasound at 6 weeks, and the doctor wasn't 100% sure he saw the heartbeat (which freaked me out quite a bit), but when I went back at 8 weeks there was the heartbeat, nice and strong! Got to hear it even, and wow, is that an amazing sound or what? The only bummer is that Bryan wasn't there for the ultrasound at 8 wks because I went in for a different reason and didn't know that they were going to do an ultrasound...we were supposed to go a few days later. I have my first appointment with my regular OB instead of my RE (specialist) on Tuesday, and I'm excited to tell her the good news. I'm hoping for an ultrasound on Tues, but not sure if they'll do one or not, since I had one done so recently at the RE's office.

My official due date is Dec. 8, but I will most likely either have a scheduled c-section a week or so before that, or be induced around the same time if this baby is not as gigantic as Caleb was. :) I would love to bypass the c-section route all together, but we'll see. So far, I have been really nauseous or ravenously hungry, depending on the day/hour/minute. Random cravings for fast food, ugh. All I craved with Caleb was fresh fruit and milk, which was so nice!! I have also definitely dealt with the extreme tiredness that comes with early pregnancy, and seems heightened by running after an almost 3 year old as well. :-) But I'm not complaining, because I was beginning to think this was never going to happen for us. I also am emotionally all over the place...my hormones must be going crazy...and I hate feeling out of control like I do at times.

I must admit I have girl vibes...but we'll see. I knew Caleb was a boy from the very beginning. Caleb doesn't really "get" that Mommy has a baby in her belly, although the other day he said that he had a baby boy in HIS belly and Mommy had a baby girl in HER belly, LOL! I think once I'm really showing is when he'll get it. I can't wait for that! I really want to try to savor every moment of this (even the yuckiness), because I'm not sure I could go through the fertility treatments and everything that goes with them again...so this may be "it" for us. But who knows, God could always have other plans! ;-)

I am so, so grateful that our prayers have been answered, and can't wait to see this miracle that was place in my womb for a reason...he/she must be pretty darn special (but of course, all babies are!). Thanks for keeping us in your thoughts/prayers as we travel these 9 months to meeting our new baby!!!
