It's so hard to believe that Molly Kate is 6 months old already!! Time truly does fly when you're having fun. I love how her personality is coming out more and more each day.
She is still breastfeeding (go me! 6 months was a big goal of mine!) as well as eating some solids. She loves sweet potatoes, pears, bananas, and carrots so far. She loves to grab the spoon and try to feed herself.
She is still up every 3 hours at night...sigh...but will usually eat and fall right back asleep. She is more consistent with her napping--one in the morning (usually pretty long-2-3 hours) and one in the afternoon and occasional cat naps here and there. I've been trying not to bring her to bed with me at night, but if I'm exhausted I sometimes will when it's 4 or so in the morning. I still swaddle her.
I can still carry her around in the Baby Bjorn, which I LOVE. I don't think I could carry Caleb around in it for longer than a couple months, so this is nice. Much easier than lugging that carrier around everywhere we go. She's my petite girl. :)
She is rolling everywhere now, and grabbing at everything. She puts everything in her mouth. We got her a Sophie the Giraffe teething toy which she loves (crazy $20 piece of magical French rubber!). No teeth yet, but we keep thinking she's working on them. Who knows?! She has sat up unsupported for a couple minutes at a time. I know I'll blink and she'll be crawling! She loves her Jumperoo.
Caleb can make her smile and laugh like no one else. I can't wait to see what good friends they will be as they grow up together. This morning he willingly gave her her purple blanket and stuffed cat that he made for her, that he has been keeping for himself all this time. So.sweet. He always wants to help me with her, and is so concerned whenever she cries. She is blessed to have him as her big brother.
We had her baby dedication at church on Sunday! Gigi, Nana, Pop-Pop, and Uncle Matthew were all there. It was CRAAAAZY crowded (over 150 babies between the 2 dedications) and I couldn't hear anything Nate said, but it was good to see so many families whose desire is to raise their children to know and love God. It's SUCH a privilege to teach my children about how much God loves them and desires to have a relationship with them. I hope they will be shining examples of Christ's love throughout their lives.
Here are some recent pictures!
Her monthly pictures were a bit harder to capture this month...she's on the move!!
Looking cute after a bath.
Hanging out with Caleb on the couch before church.
Happy girl!
Love these two. <3

May is CRAZY!!!!...and Caleb's end of the year program
WOW, this has been a BUSY month!!!! Let's see, we've had Bryan's birthday, his end of the year school stuff, Mother's Day, multiple birthday parties, Caleb's end of the year activities at school, BSF, and The Little Gym, Molly Kate's dedication this coming weekend, lots of playdates, etc etc etc. I used to have parents of my students tell me May was busier than the Christmas season and I didn't believe it, but now I do!!! Just wanted to come up for air and update a bit before I do Molly Kate's SIX month post tomorrow (!).
Today, Caleb had his end of the year celebration at his preschool. I can't believe he is already finished with his first year of preschool! He is becoming such a big boy. He did a GREAT job singing--louder than the rest of the kids combined, and so INTO it. It was soooo funny!! I love that he is not embarrassed at all by being in front of people. Going to have to look into some acting classes or something....He has had such a good year, made some great friends, is on the cusp of reading (I know!), can count to 100, write his own name, etc. He had great teachers and great memories made. Here are some pics from the last day and from the program today:
This is from today before we left for his program. So big.
This is from his real last day of school on Tuesday.
Wanted to pose with his sister. :)
Sissy all dressed up for today!
Smooch!!!
Ready to sing!!!
This was during the "alligator song"....this is where the alligator snatches some monkeys out of the tree. :)
This is during the "peanut butter' song, he is 'eating' his sandwich. :)
Getting his completion certificate!!
Partying at the reception after the program. She was so good, but was starting to melt down at this point. We think she's working on some teeth.
With his awesome teacher, Ms. Anne. She has been such a blessing to us all this year. Thought this was a great shot, too!
I thought this picture was TOO funny!!! This is his friend Holly. Cutie pies!
